Therapeutic Approach
I approach therapy from a contemporary psychodynamic perspective, focusing on helping you gain personal insight as a means to promote change and achieve growth. In treatment, we would work together to better understand who you are — including your desires and motivations, your beliefs and feelings, and patterns that might occur in your relationships. My goal would be to help you uncover your true self and live a satisfying and successful life in harmony with who you are. Our work would be collaborative, and I would work hard to build a genuine and caring relationship. Taking a risk and opening up to a therapist can be an intimidating prospect. As such, I strive to create an atmosphere of safety and connectedness where creativity, humor, and playfulness all have a place.
